The only beachfront pousada in the village, with rooms opening onto hammock-strung balconies and two restaurants right on the sand. Relaxed, rustic, and a five-minute stroll to the heart of Praia do Forte.

Modern, adults-only, and right in the village across from the calm waters of Praia do Portinho. Fifteen sleek suites, a rooftop pool and wine bar with sunset views over the rooftops. Suites run small, but the design is lovely.

Do I need a visa to travel to Brazil?
Important for traveling guests: Canadian and American passport holders will need a Brazilian visa to enter the country.
Visas may take approximately one month to process, so please apply well in advance of the trip.

Will my flight have a connection?
Most likely, yes. Guests flying from Toronto will typically connect through São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro before continuing to Salvador.
How long should I stay?
We recommend arriving on December 5 so you can join us for the welcome party on December 6 and the wedding on December 7.
We will be in Praia do Forte from December 5–9 and would love for you to make a trip of it!
Is transportation provided?
Yes! We're arranging shuttle transportation between Salvador Airport and Praia do Forte for our guests. We'll share the shuttle schedule closer to the wedding once we know everyone's flight information.
If your arrival time does not align with a scheduled shuttle, we will help you coordinate a taxi or rideshare from the airport.
How far is the airport from Praia do Forte?
Praia do Forte is approximately a 40 minute drive from Salvador International Airport, depending on traffic.
Should I stay near the wedding venue?
We recommend staying in the village (Praia do Forte) rather than near the venue.
The venue is only about a 15 minute drive from the village, and transportation will be provided for wedding events.
The village is where you'll find restaurants, cafes, shops, beaches, and nightlife. It's a beautiful place to spend the trip!
Do I need to rent a car?
No. We would not recommend renting a car.
Once you're in Praia do Forte, everything in the village is easily walkable, and we'll provide transportation to and from the wedding events.
What currency is used?
Brazil uses the Brazilian Real (BRL). Credit cards are widely accepted throughout Brazil.
What language is spoken?
Portuguese is the official language of Brazil, though many people speak English.
Is Praia do Forte safe?
Praia do Forte is a charming beach town and one of Brazil's most popular vacation destinations. As with any travel, use common sense with valuables, but it's generally a very relaxed and walkable place to explore.
What should I wear to the wedding?
We want you to wear whatever you'd like!
Brazil is full of bright colors and tropical prints, and we encourage you to lean into that. Think tropical formal and consider leaving the black dress at home!
Is there a welcome party?
Yes! We will be hosting a welcome party on December 6 for those traveling in.
